Making the planet healthier is a matter close to our hearts. Through mindful production, eco-friendly packaging, carbon-neutral shipping and support for initiatives to renature waterways in South America, we strive to reduce our impact on the Earth's natural resources.
Conscientious production
Supporting sustainable practices is an integral part of our values and part of what makes us a purveyor of conscious luxury.
The alpacas that provide our producers with raw materials live in conditions where they feel comfortable and do not suffer, as the farms that supply alpacas must comply with the five freedoms of animals when breeding them. Their fibres are obtained using the Inca shearing technique, which is recognised as a technical standard by the Peruvian government and reduces stress on the animals.
We work with partners who are certified according to RAS (Responsible Alpaca Standard) and RWS (Responsible Wool Standard). These certifications track the alpaca fibre from source to end product and demonstrate a commitment to prioritising animal welfare and adhering to the highest social standards for employees. Fair market conditions are also promoted and suppliers of alpaca fibres are remunerated in accordance with fair trade practices.
Furthermore, there are collaborations to improve the quality of life of indigenous communities and to preserve their traditional customs.
Water restoration
Our partners in Peru have already managed to reduce water consumption in the fabric finishing process by around 70%.
Plastic-free packaging
All our products are shipped in eco-friendly cardboard boxes that are CO2 neutral and can be recycled or reused.
