Why we say no to Black Friday
November begins, and with it the flickering of countdowns, 'Early Black Friday Deals' and extended 'Cyber Weeks'.
What started as a single day turned into a constant noise. MUNAYKI turns the volume down. Not as a matter of principle, but as a matter of principle.
We produce in small, carefully considered batches, work with responsible partners, and choose materials that will bring lasting enjoyment. Our goal is not quick sales, but pieces that will last for years.
Discounts sound like profit, but often reveal more about margins than quality. Many so-called premium brands – often in the same price segment as MUNAYKI – have their products manufactured in low-wage countries with opaque supply chains and apply markups of up to seven times the production costs.
At MUNAYKI, we want to build an honest brand based on integrity. It is our heartfelt desire to express our appreciation to the people of Peru for their craftsmanship and, at the same time, to offer our customers in Europe a fair pricing model. We believe that a markup of 2-3 times the production costs is sustainable and fair – without discounts.
This way you pay for authentic quality, craftsmanship and durability – not for a logo or artificially inflated prices .
Good decisions require calm and reflection. Our pieces are designed to be timeless, robust, and easy to care for – made to be cherished and loved. Choosing less, but better, conserves resources and strengthens what truly matters: appreciation, not waste.
Before your next purchase, a brief reflection is all it takes:
· Do I really need this, or am I just reacting to the sale?
· Do I know who did it and how?
· Will I still enjoy wearing it in a year?
If you're unsure about an answer, give yourself 24 hours – true favorites can withstand this break.
MUNAYKI stands for quality without the drama of urgency. Support brands with a clear philosophy, choose longevity over hype – because beautiful things made with care don't need a sale.
